Dictionary: Bmaj7 Chord


Bmaj7 is a B major triad with a major 7th (A-sharp note).  This chord is compatible with the B Lydian and B Ionian modes.

Bmaj7 (Guitar, Beginner)

To play B major-7th:

1. Barre your index finger across the second fret, from the A string to the High E string;
2. Place your middle finger on the G string, 3rd fret;
3. Place your ring finger on the D string, 4th fret;
4. Place your pinky finger on the B string, 4th fret;
5. Avoiding the Low E string, play the Bmaj7 chord!
